[Yayoi Kusama] a Nagano-born painter, vanguard sculptor, novelist. Began to draw provoked by the illusion and moved to the United States in 1957, stayed in New York for 18 years. 1993 Venice Biennale representative from Japan. After retrospective show around the United States, large-scale of private exhibition was held at Tokyo Museum of Modern Art in1999.
