“The Kyotaro Nishimura memorial museum” was established in Yugawara triggered by Mr. Nishimura who visited here for his recuperation found the climate and people and decided here to be his final abode.
Display ncludes all books of over 300 volumes, articles, raw manuscript, a large diorama, private collection etc. things that symbolize writer’s life.

Getting there | Bus for Oku-Yugawara/Fudo-taki fall, get off at “Shougakkoumae” (elementary school) (seat-load time around five minutes). It is a 3-minute walk from the bus stage. From Tokyo area go on National highway No. 135, right turn at “Chitose Bridge intersection” / at around Shinkansen bullet train underpass. |
