The most attractive part of the cruising of the Sightseeing boat is when it passes the cave. The boat passes through the internal cave areas where tuffs was eroded by the seawater, formed many intricate tunnels.
The Tensou-dou (skylight sinus) viewed from the ground
There is a place in the cave where the tunnel has a round hole on the top which is opened to the sky. When the sightseeing boat passes through the hole, the passengers can view the sky from within the cave. The hole is called Tensou-dou (the sky sinus), which was appointed as a Natural Monument of Japan.
