Beetle-catch and blueberry picking in Southern Izu
2016/07/29
As many as 30 beetles can be caught in just 30 minutes. All these beetles are naturally born in the wild and can be caught by hand in the evening without setting any traps. However, please understand that this is only an experience-based program providing children and their families a chance of learning and playing in the rich nature environment of Izu. Therefore, all beetles caught in the forest should be released and cannot be brought home. The program will be hold at a well reserved private owned forest with a large patch of oak trees. The area is a flat ground that can be easily walked through by anyone includes kids and elderlies. (*The program will be put to a stop once the total number of stag beetles and rhinoceros beetles in the area is less than 10.)
After catching the beetles, you can also enjoy picking and eating blueberries for 15 minutes.
