Come and meet dolphins, penguins and sea lions.
The aquarium is located at the Awashima Island which has a coast line stretch for 2.5 kilometers. Dolphins are kept in pools using all natural sea water, and there are three dolphins performance everyday. There are also three sea lion shows everyday. Other animal exhibitions include Humboldt Penguin and Spotted seal, etc.
The Aquarium mainly displays many creatures inhabit in the surrounding sea of the Awashima Island, every exhibition tank contains a distinctive concept for enhancing the understanding of the spectators. A experience based exhibition tank called Fureai Tank in the 2nd floor displays many urchins and starfish which can be touch by hand and are very popular.
In recent years, the Aquarium have been holding a regular exhibition called World Frog Exhibition, it is the largest exhibition in term of number of species in Japan. The aquarium also is breeding many non-native species. The island together is a theme park with many funs, you can access the island by ferry.
