The 50th Odawara Hojo Godai Festival

In commemoration of it’s 50th anniversary, the Musha Gyoretsu (Samurai’s procession) event of this year’s Odawara Hojo Godai Festival will have four Odawara Furusato poster persons taking part in the procession by disguising themselves as the castle lord of various periods in the past.
The opening ceremony will feature a special live performance conducted by the Wadaiko (Japanese traditional drum) performers.
There will be other experience-based events to be held during the festival.
・Opening ceremony: The ceremony will be held at the Akaganemon Squre Mizu-no-Kouen of the Odawara-joshi-kouen Park, start at noon.
・The kickoff ceremony of the Musha Gyoretsu: Scheduled to start at 1:10 p.m.
・The parade out of the city: Musical band, Musha procession and people’s procession
・Performance by Musha and Ninja: Planned to be held at the center area of the city.
・Photo taking time
・Armor dressing
・Stamp rally (souvenir present)
