The 45th Odawara Plum Festival

Soga Bairin (plum groves) is a main venue of Odawara Plum Festival. It is known as the hometown of Soga Brothers who are well-known figures in their story of making revenge. There are three plum groves across Soga area, the name of the groves are Bessho, Hara and Nakagawara.
There are white plum flowers as well as flowers of red plum and Shidare Plum, a plum with long branches hang toward the ground. You can enjoy beautiful plum flowers throughout the whole town.
Together approx. 35,000 plum trees come into full blossom with a background view of the mountainous landscapes of Mt. Fuji and mountains in Hakone. The impressive view of Mt. Fuji from here had been chosen as one of the Hundreds Beautiful View of Mt. Fuji in Kanto Area.
During the Plum Festival, there will be many other events and activities hold at the site, including Yabusame show, Odawara Lantern Dance and Kotobuki-Shishimai Dance performance, etc.
