Furukawa River area is the earliest place among Izu peninsular to watch fireflies every year. Furukawa River flows through Izunokuni City, its bank areas are the earliest one to welcome wild fireflies every year.
Furukawa river is a limpid stream flows through the city. It is a natural habitat for wild fireflies. From mid-May to mid-June each year, the charming dim lights of fireflies enjoyed by many tourists.
