On February 26, 1936, an unprecedented coup occurred in Japanese modern history called “case 2.26″. Then the only spot involved in the coup attempts other than Tokyo was here at “Kofuso Villa” in Yugawara.
To former annex “Kounso” of the prestigious inn Ito-ya, the documents such as the memento and photograph, newspaper at the time are displayed. The institute carry out the facility guidance by the volunteers. (a prior reservation needed for the weekday visit.)
