The Japanese pampas grass land of Sengokuhara is a typical pampas grass land of Hakone. The spot was chosen in the “50 selections of sceneries of Kanagawa” and “100 famous flower viewing spot of Kanagawa”, many tourists visit here every year.
Countless pampas grass filled up the whole slop of the Mr. Daigatake. Visitors are stunned by the beauty and broadness of this magnificent grass land. There are small paths run through the filed of the grass land, visitors have to push the grass aside while walking on the paths. When standing in the middle of this massive and fantastic landscape of pampas grass, the view around you is just marvelous.

At the Miyanoshita junction, enter National Road No. 138, drive toward Sengokuhara direction. Turn left at the Sengokuhara junction, follow the road toward Motohakone direction, the pampas grass land can be seen along side of the road.[By car: from the Gotemba area] From the Tomei Gotemba IC, drive toward the Hakone direction via National Road No. 138.
